Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join their team. This onsite position in Scottsdale, Arizona is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with property management teams (commercial and residential) to ensure accurate financial reporting. The Property Accountant will be responsible for the full accounting cycle for assigned properties, supporting operations, ownership, and stakeholders with timely and accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle accounting for assigned properties
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and ownership reporting packages
  • Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintain tenant ledgers, including rent rolls, and billings
  • Work closely with property managers and leadership to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and deadlines
  • Support special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting experience (property accounting highly preferred)
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Yardi or MRI required)
  • Excellent Excel skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work on-site Monday-Friday
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Education Requirement

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

Work Hours

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
